ARSA cycles annually to raise funds and awareness about HIV & AIDS, embracing a variety of sex-positive, LGBT-friendly, HIV-prevention strategies including Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP), serosorting, and condoms, in South Africa and globally.
By cycling we are able to take our message of healthy-living and sex-positivity into townships and rural areas, as well as big cities, all the places which are fighting HIV & AIDS on a daily basis.
Through our films and other media, we attempt to tell our own stories, the stories of Africa, the stories of those who are no longer here to tell them themselves, and of the world.
HIV & AIDS are sometimes the protagonist, other times the back story, or side characters. When we tell our stories, we help others gain awareness of who we are while understanding ourselves anew.
We accept donations of funds, food, cycling equipment, gear, and repair, lodging, petrol, rental vans, plane tickets as well as the generosity of your time and enthusiasm.
